Enrolled as an Advocate in September, 1982 and practiced at the Punjab & Haryana High Court Bar from 1982-1989;

 

Appointed as Assistant Advocate General, Haryana in February, 1988 and worked as such till 4th April, 1989 when appointed as Secretary, Haryana Vidhan Sabha and working as such till-to-date ;has distinguished record of practice at Bar as Advocate as well as Assistant Advocate General, Haryana having conducted important service matters; Ex-officio Secretary of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (Haryana Branch); Ex-officio Secretary of Indian Parliamentary Association (Haryana Group);

Attended 35th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference at Barbados in 1989; 37th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference held at New Delhi in 1991; Inter Parliamentary Union Conference held at New Delhi in 1993; 52nd Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference held in Abuja, Nigeria in September, 2006; Regional Conference of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association of Asia and South East Asia Regions in 2000 at Calcutta; Conferences of Presiding Officers and Secretaries of Legislative Bodies in India held in different places from time to time; Conference on Legislative Control over Public Purse held in Lucknow, 2000; other important Conferences with regard to Constitutional & Parliamentary subjects & Chairpersons of the Legislative Committees of House in Parliament House; attended CPA Asia region Conference at Colombo, Sri Lanka in September, 2003.
